Charming Charleston.

To describe the past week in one word it would be busy busy busy! Joseph had a very exciting job interview down in St Simons Island, Georgia so the two of us decided to make a road trip out of it. After an 11 hour car ride, two whole days of interviews for Joseph, apartment hunting, and not much sleep in between, we were very exhausted and were in need of a little getaway. So on our way back home to PA we decided to stop by Charleston, SC which was only a short three hour drive away from where we had been staying in Georgia.

We weren't planning on spending the night in Charleston but as soon as we arrived we did not want to leave, so we quickly booked a hotel downtown for the night. Charleston is a quaint city full of charming homes, coffee shops galore and pretty much all of my favorite stores- I was in heaven. Rainbow Row was just a short walk away from our hotel and it has got to be the cutest thing I have ever seen! The colorful houses alongside the bay looked like perfect little doll houses (the pink one had my name written all over it!)

The only downside to our short time in Charleston was that we hit it during a cold spell- so bundling up was a must. I wore my favorite camel coat and added a pom pom hat and scarf for some extra warmth. Underneath I had on this blush pink ruffle blouse that was dressy enough to wear to dinner, along with my favorite jeans and my pink Viajiyu flats that were comfortable enough for walking around the city all evening.

One night in this charming city was not enough! I am already itching to go back!
