Hey loves! Today I wanted to share a little look that you can easily recreate for your Valentines Day festivities next week. First let's talk hair... Since V-day is all about romance, I wanted to create a romantic up-do but I also wanted the look to be casual enough to wear all day long. I decided to try out a super easy crown braid and I am so happy with how it turned out; it's soft, feminine and can be worn with everyday wear but could easily be paired with a dress and heels for date night with your guy. Here's how to get the look:
1.) Section off hair into two pigtails.
2.) Working one pigtail at a time, braid all the way down and secure with a clear elastic. Do the same with other pigtail. (You should now have two braided pigtails.)
3.) Take one braid and bring it over your head just behind the opposite ear and secure with bobbi pins. Take the remaining braid and bring it over your head towards your other ear, overlapping the first braid, and secure with bobbi pins.
4.) *optional* Pull out a few strands of hair that frame your face and loosely curl them with a curling iron for a more undone look.
Now let's talk makeup! Valentines Day is all about pink everything so I wanted to channel that into my makeup look. I did my usual makeup routine, but added pops of pink on my cheeks and lips for a festive touch. I used this creme blush and this matte lip liner from IT Cosmetics to achieve my perfect pink look.
Lastly let's talk outfit! I wanted to keep things casual and let my hair and makeup do all the talking, so I opted for a simple pink striped tee and some skinny jeans for a daytime V-Day look. My exact tee is sold out but this one, this one and this one are all similar options.
