Simply Lauren Gray's Style Guide.

Fashion, Life & Beauty.

  • The higher the hem the lower the heel.
  • Do wear more than one print at a time as long as they balance each other out. (think floral and stripes)
  • When wearing a flowy blouse make sure you have a structured bottom to avoid looking frumpy.
  • Always be overdressed.
  • Order a croissant and cappuccino whenever you are out. This makes you appear Parisian.
  • Avoid wearing too much jewelry. Keep it simple.
  • When you need a pop of color always go for a red lip.
  • Don't buy the item full price. Stores are always having sales. Be patient.
  • Do splurge on yourself every once in a while. That bag you've had your eyes on for months? Treat yourself. You deserve it.
  • Hats will be your most used accessory. They disguise bad hair days.
  • Mascara is a must. Never leave your house without it.
  • Don't ever wear those "matchy matchy outfit collages" that you see all over Pinterest.
  • Smile at strangers.
  • Wear skirts & dresses for all occasions. To the supermarket, to grab Starbucks etc... They aren't just for formal events.
  • Uggs and Jeans with bling are a huge no no.
  • Less is more.
  • Do buy yourself flowers once a week to brighten up a room.
  • Avoid wearing crop tops. Unless it is a chic matching set, I would frown upon it. Most importantly avoid that horrid crop top and tight maxi skirt trend.
  • Blush pink flats match more things in your closet than you would think.
  • When attending a brunch or early dinner, tie a sweater around your shoulders. This instantly makes you look more put together.
  • You can never have too many hats...
  • Or shoes.
  • When hosting a party use rose petals in your water instead of lemon wedges.
  • Make sure you have a pedicure before sporting open toed shoes.
  • Do wear black and navy together. Also red and pink. When paired correctly these combos will slay everyone else's ensembles.
  • Listen to the solo piano station on Pandora. It is good for the soul.
  • A striped boater tee is a wardrobe must-have.
  • It is perfectly fine to arrive to a party 15 minutes late.
